Monthly Zakat aid to increase to JD50

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Wael Arabiyat on Monday announced a JD20-increase in the monthly aid for beneficiaries of the Zakat Fund, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The decision came in light of His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to improve the living conditions of underprivileged families in the Kingdom.
Arabiyat, who is the chairperson of the fund's board of directors, said that the board has decided to increase the monthly aid for heads of households from JD30 to JD50.
