Middle East Media and Policy Studies Institute inaugurated

AMMAN — The Middle East Media and Policy Studies Institute (MEMPSI) was inaugurated recently.
During the inauguration, MEMPSI Chairman of the Board of Directors Muhammad Fakhri Al Ajlouni said that the institute was launched as an independent research and training entity for the purpose of conducting studies and research in multiple fields, including media, regional conflicts, international relations and security, government-related planning and research, democracy, human rights, environment and sustainable development, among others, according to a MEMPSI statement.
Ajlouni indicated that in light of the unfolding challenges in the region, it became an obligation for think tanks, experts along with research academies to assume their duties to the fullest by offering exclusive information to political and economic decision-makers and interested researchers.
The director of the centre, Salah Al Abbadi, said that research and scientific consultations contribute effectively to sustainable development.
He said that the centre's mission entails supporting and developing scientific research while addressing society's problems through providing consultations in a scientific and professional manner.
