Man sentenced to death for murdering retired general

AMMAN — The State Security Court on Tuesday sentenced a man convicted of killing retired Maj. Gen. Habes Hanaineh to death by hanging, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hanaineh was killed in Madaba's Faisaliyeh area in 2018. The convict was found guilty of conducting terror acts with the use of weapons and ammunition that led to the death of a human being as per the Anti-Terrorism Law, Petra reported.
The crime took place in October 2018 when the perpetrator fired four bullets at Hanaineh, resulting in his death.
