King meets US general over ‘strategic cooperation’

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met US Chief-of-Staff Gen. Raymond Odierno and discussed strategic cooperation between Jordan and the US and means to develop them in all areas, especially at the diplomatic level.
Talks also covered efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, a Royal Court statement said.
Also on Thursday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben met with Odierno and discussed ties between the two armies.
