King meets Abu Dhabi crown prince

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday discussed bilateral ties and prospects for further cooperation with Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi crown prince and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces. 

At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the King's private visit to the UAE, the two sides underlined their commitment to fostering cooperation at all levels to best serve the interests of both countries, according to a Royal Court statement. 

King Abdullah commended UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support for bilateral relations and better cooperation between the two countries.

Discussions also covered a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The King and Sheikh Mohammad stressed the need to coordinate stances vis-à-vis new regional developments, the statement said. 

Jordan and the UAE are partners in the US-led coalition against terror groups in Iraq and Syria.
