AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Wednesday joined brothers in arms and veterans in marking Veterans Day at a ceremony held by the JAF at the 10th Hashemite Mechanised Battalion on the occasion.

The King met with a number of military retirees who had served with the battalion, expressing best wishes to them on Veterans Day and reaffirming pride in their service to the nation, according to a Royal Court statement.

For their part, the veterans thanked His Majesty for the attention and care he gives to military retirees, noting that they will remain loyal soldiers serving Jordan and supporting the JAF, the statement said.

Upon Royal directives, the JAF invited veterans and military retirees and their families to visit the units they have served in on the occasion of Veterans Day, marked on February 15.
