Jordanian citizen shot by Israeli army after crossing border in Baqura — gov’t source

AMMAN — A 49-year-old Jordanian citizen was shot and injured by the Israeli army on Wednesday at dawn after he crossed the border between the Kingdom and Israel in Baqura, in the country's north, an official government source said.
The authorities are following up on the incident through official and diplomatic channels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to preliminary investigations, the Jordanian citizen, who is still being held by the Israeli authorities, allegedly crossed the border for smuggling purposes.
