AMMAN — Jordan will participate in the upcoming Doha Smart Cities Summit scheduled for Tuesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The summit is a “first-of-its-kind” in the region, organised by Msheireb Properties, which is affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for education, research, and community development.

The organising company on Sunday said that the summit will be held virtually and will host experts from Qatar and other parts of the world as well as representatives from smart cities such as Moscow, Amsterdam and Singapore.

The sessions would discuss four major themes: Smart cities and their impact as well integrating artificial intelligence in people’s lives, transportation and self-driving cars, innovation and sustainability, and a concluding session to examine how smart cities are capable of dealing with a certain pandemic, according to the statement.
