'Jordan polio-free', no recent measles case recorded

AMMAN — Jordan has been polio-free since 1992 and no measles cases was recorded during the past three years, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
During a training workshop organised by the World Health Organisation's country office, Kamel Abu Sall, the director of the national vaccination programme, stressed the importance of immediate reporting of any mild or acute paralysis cases by health workers, especially in light of hosting a huge number of refugees, which increases the possibility of infections.
He also highlighted the importance of training and building technical skills through training courses and workshops.
