AMMAN — Jordan on Tuesday condemned the Israeli President’s storming of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Haitham Abu Al Foul affirmed that this "condemned and rejected step" represents a violation of international law, support for extremism, unjustified provocation and disregard of Muslims’ feelings, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He added that UNESCO in 2017 named the Ibrahimi Mosque a Palestinian heritage site and called for an immediate end to such provocative practices.
