AMMAN — Jordan is going on with efforts to implement its international commitments, as stipulated in agreements it has signed, through integrating the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development into development plans, Social Development Minister Hala Lattouf has said, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Saturday.

Heading the Jordanian delegation participating in the 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women, being held at the UN headquarters in New York between March 12 and 23, Lattouf said that Jordan is among the first Arab countries that integrated gender in its national policies.

In her remarks at the opening of the session, which is held under the theme "Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls", the minister stressed that the Kingdom seeks to remove all kinds of discrimination against women.
