Jordan to chair Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference on Jerusalem

AMMAN — Jordan will chair the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU) conference in March, to be held in Amman, themed “Jerusalem is the Eternal Capital of the State of Palestine”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During his participation in the agenda of the APU Executive Committee in Cairo, MP Mahmoud Naimat expressed his appreciation to the representatives of the Arab parliamentary member countries for their response to the official invitation sent by the Lower House to host the next conference of the APU in Jordan.
The meeting discussed the items on the agenda and reviewed the report of the special committee of the Arab parliamentary excellence award and the report of the special committee of the legal team, in addition to discussing proposed amendments to the Arab Parliamentary Union Charter and its statute and the agenda of the “29th Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union”.
