AMMAN — Three Jerash University students were injured, including one critically, on Sunday during a brawl on campus that involved sharp objects, police said. The brawl started between a group of students, leaving three students injured, Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi said.

“No one was arrested in connection with the incident and we are currently investigating,” the police official told The Jordan Times.

Sartawi added that one of the three students was rushed to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition. Media outlets reported that the university decided to halt its sessions for the day.

Despite repeated attempts by The Jordan Times, officials at the university were not available for comment. The university’s website made no mention of the incident or plans to further suspend classes.
