AMMAN — The Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA) and a delegation from the Polish Foreign Ministry on Wednesday discussed ways to boost economic relations between the two countries.

JEBA President Jamal Badran called for strengthening the two countries' trade exchange, especially amid the repercussions of the COVID pandemic, and attracting Polish expertise to the Kingdom in the field of smart cities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, which was co-organised by the JEBA and the Polish embassy in Amman, Badran stressed the need to benefit from the participation of Jordanian and Polish companies in the Dubai Expo 2020, which is scheduled to open early next month, to establish commercial partnerships.

Poland’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pawel Jablonski affirmed his country's interest in enhancing investment opportunities with Jordan, especially in the field of information and telecom, smart cities, cyber security, artificial intelligence and renewable energy, in addition to activating bilateral agreements and boosting imports and exports.
