Issawi attends Academy for the Blind’s ceremony, recognising white cane day

AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Monday attended the ceremony of the Academy for the Blind on the occasion of International White Cane Safety Day at Al Hussein Cultural Centre, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ceremony aimed at recognising the importance of the cane in facilitating people with vision impairments lives and integrating them within the society, in addition to enhancing their self-confidence.
The Academy Director Abdel Munim Duwairi said that disabled people have energy and skills that enable them to challenge and succeed, stressing the vital role for the staff and all local society members in supporting this class of people to achieve success.
