House speaker, Yemen FM talk truce, bilateral ties

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulkarim Dughmi met with Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak on Monday and discussed truce efforts in Yemen in addition to bilateral cooperation.
“Efforts should be exerted to enhance the truce in Yemen until a comprehensive conciliation is reached according to UN resolutions|, outcomes of the Yemeni dialogue and the Gulf Initiative to ensure security and stability for the Yemeni people,” Dughmi said.
The meeting also covered means of enhancing cooperation between the countries in the fields of investment, the economy and other issues of mutual interest, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Dughmi called for opening roads for humanitarian aid and lifting the blockade on Yemeni cities, highlighting the importance of the Jordan-hosted Yemeni dialogues that reflect the "Kingdom's clear position towards Yemen".
Bin Mubarak expressed appreciation for the ongoing Jordanian political support for Yemen at various regional and international events.
