Health minister checks on Archbishop Atallah in hospital

AMMAN — Health Minister Saad Jaber on Wednesday visited Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem Atallah Hanna in the Jordan Hospital where he was admitted after an Israeli gas canister was fired into his church in Jerusalem, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jaber wished the Archbishop a speedy recovery, extending greetings on the occasion of Christmas. The archbishop voiced his gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah and the Jordanian government for hosting and caring for him.
He reiterated the church’s firm stance and pride in the Hashemite Custodianship over Christian sites in Jerusalem.
