AMMAN — The government on Sunday launched a new online platform through which citizens can file questions, suggestions and violation complaints.

Launching the “Bekhidmatikum” platform, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said the online service lies at the heart of an endeavour to “institutionalise” interaction with citizens and get their message across, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

According to Razzaz, “Bekhidmatikum” (in English “at your service”) “redefines the relationship between public employees and citizens”, vowing his government’s openness to all complaints, questions and suggestions received   via the e-service.

He also said that a ministerial team will be following up on all online inquires and complaints, and will be held accountable for the responses and solutions they provide to citizens, according to Petra.

The premier also said that the platform will enable citizens to send their concerns to a total of 95 public agencies through easy-to-use tools and channels, Petra said.

Razzaz also said that ministries’ and public institutions’ responses to citizens’ inquires and suggestions will be reviewed monthly by the Cabinet, calling on all Jordanians to use “Bekhidmatikum” to convey their messages to the government.

Minister of State for Institutional Performance Development Majd Shweikeh described the  “At Your Service” online application as a national project to hear citizens’ voices, adding that it is the first time all ministries’ and public agencies’ complaint and suggestion systems are combined in one platform, Petra said.

She added that the platform will be developed to utilise data analysis and content management systems and will offer specialised channels on human rights, according to Petra.

The minister said that around 200 liaison officers are handling the platform which, she added, has received a total of 5,891 inquires, suggestions and complaints, as well as compliments from citizens during its experimental phase, Petra said.
