Goodwill Campaign provides scholarships, food assistance in Talbieh, Jiza

AMMAN — The Goodwill Campaign, implemented by Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), has provided scholarships to disadvantaged students and handed out food assistance to underprivileged families in Talbieh camp and Jiza District,the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday. 

Seventeen students from the Talbieh refugee camp and 20 other students in Jiza district benefited from scholarships, 

The campaign, whose higher committee is headed by HRH Princess Basma, also announced providing food assistance to 250 underprivileged families in the camp and 350 families in Jiza district. 

In the presence of members of the campaign’s higher committee and officials, Princess Basma handed out the aid to students at Jordanian universities. The princess also presented financial support to the centre for people with disabilities, which is affiliated with the services committee in the Talbieh camp. 

The princess visited the Sahab Society for Social Development and checked on its activities, which are being implemented in cooperation with the Princess Basma Centre for Development to serve the local community, especially in the field of vocational training for women, Petra reported.

Princess Basma also handed out financial support from the campaign to support the production workshops in the society. 

 

 Princess Basma highlighted the Goodwill Campaign’s humanitarian message and its keenness to help in the provision of support for the needy across the Kingdom.
