FM meets with UN officials

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Wednesday met with representatives of the UN agencies in the Kingdom and stressed the importance of partnership between Jordan and the UN and keenness to boost it, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Safadi discussed cooperation between the Kingdom and the UN in responding to the Syrian crisis and addressing its impacts.
The officials outlined the UN’s activities and projects related to youth empowerment, sustainable development and anti-terrorism efforts.
Safadi expressed appreciation for the UN support, highlighting the Kingdom’s humanitarian role in hosting the refugees.
He stressed the need for international community to increase its support to Jordan and the host communities.
