AMMAN — Five Jordanians were selected to participate in “TechWomen”, the “largest gathering for women in tech in the US”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.

The Jordanians, who were selected out of 4,000 applicants from 20 countries, will participate in the 40-day cultural exchange programme that includes training courses and visits to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) companies.

Each participant is then hosted by one of the companies for three weeks for professional development. Ala’a Agha Karss, the founder and CTO of Superiors company in Jordan, said she was chosen for the programme after she submitted a proposal highlighting her “pioneering and leadership qualities”.
