AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday signed a grant agreement with the University of Jordan, at a total value of JD70,000, to provide the Cell Therapy Centre with solar power cells at a capacity of 125 kilowatts.

Energy Minister Hala Zawati, who signed the agreement, said that this grant is part of the ministry’s support for developing scientific research and encouraging renewable energy usage in both the academic and medical sectors.

Zawati, who is also the chairman of the Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (JREEEF), underscored the significance of this agreement in supporting the centre to reduce the energy bill and use the saved allocations to improve the centre’s services.
