AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation’s (SSC) Media Director Musa Sbeihi on Tuesday said that the embassies, diplomatic and international missions in Jordan, apart from their educational, cultural and trade attachés are now obliged to include their Jordanian workers under the social security umbrella, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a meeting held at the American embassy in Amman, Sbeihi said that there are 70 embassies in Jordan, 49 of which are included in the social security progamme.
He stressed that the SSC does not differentiate between Jordanian workers and other nationalities in terms of rights and obligations, as 12.5 per cent of the subscribers are non-Jordanians.
