Daily tours to main sites for transit travellers launched

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Lina Annab on Thursday announced the launch of daily tours for transit travellers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The tours, organised in cooperation with Royal Jordanian Airlines, will include archaeological and other tourist sites in Amman and Madaba.
Passengers with layovers of six to 24 hours will obtain a free visa to enter the Kingdom, Petra said, adding that the tours’ prices range between $25 and $42, including transportation.
Two daily trips will start from the airport at 7:15am and 7:15pm, according to Petra. The ministry produced a promotional video to enable passengers to get acquainted with transit tourism.
