Customs agents foil attempt to smuggle car spare parts

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) anti-smuggling personnel on Thursday foiled an attempt to smuggle car spare parts after a chase on the Desert Highway that resulted in the arrest of two suspects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The personnel suspected two trucks on the highway and chased them until they managed to surround them and arrest the drivers. The trucks contained 1,186 spare parts hidden within boxes designated to store fruit and vegetables, Petra reported.
