CDD, French Agency for Development discuss enhancing cooperation

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director General Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazaiah on Thursday met with Deputy Director of Amman Regional Office of the French Agency for Development (FAD) Samuel Lefever to discuss means of enhancing joint cooperation between the CDD and the FAD.

During the meeting, Bazaiah stressed the pivotal role of the FAD, referring to the grant project which helps in boosting the CDD personnel performance through offering equipment and conducting training workshops, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

For his part, Lefever commended the CDD’s efforts in protecting the people’s lives and preserving the property as well as the services provided to Syrian refugees in and outside the camps, stressing the depth of the relations between the two friendly countries in various fields.

The FAD official made a field tour to Mafraq Governorate to check on the services provided by the CDD cadres in the region.
