Ayed takes part in Egypt-held ‘The Future of Media’ conference

AMMAN — The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated the need for optimising the continuous improvement of media and communication fields to serve nations and communities, as well as ensure the sustainability of activities, Minister of State for Media Affairs Ali Al Ayed said on Saturday.

Speaking during the opening session of the Egypt-held “The Future of Media” conference, Ayed said that amid the coronavirus pandemic all have realised the importance of advancements in the fields of media and communication, noting that visual communication has offered the most effective alternative medium amid these exceptional circumstances.

The virtual event witnessed the participation of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Egypt's Minster of State for Information Osama Heikal, Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, President of the Dubai Press Club Mona Al Marri, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
