Awqaf minister warns of consequences of extremist Jews’ storming of Al Aqsa

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh on Sunday warned against the consequences caused by Israeli forces' allowing hundreds of extremist Jews to storm and desecrate the courtyards of Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He stressed that extremist Jews’ incursions into Al Aqsa Mosque and the Bab Al Rahma (Gate of Mercy) of the Muslim Cemetery and the arrest of Palestinian awqaf employees and guards of Al Aqsa Mosque, are all condemned and rejected in doctrine and law.
These violations are considered a flagrant attack against the sanctity of Islamic holy places and a provocation of two billion Muslims in the world, he underlined, stressing that the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf exerts every possible effort to complement the Custodianship of His Majesty King Abdullah to serve, protect and defend Al Aqsa Mosque with its entire area of144 dunums.
The minister said that the mosque is a place of worship purely for Muslims that does not tolerate any division.
