AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) personnel in Azraq, in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), have foiled an attempt to smuggle 14 palm-sized sheets of hashish.
JCD Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Imad Nseir on Monday said that anti-smuggling patrols in the area had seized the hashish and handed over the suspects and the seized items to AND to proceed with legal action, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Meanwhile, security personnel, during their inspection campaigns, seized 113 smuggled mobile phones in Amman and referred the suspected smugglers to the specialised prosecutor general, Nseir added.
