Amended rules issued for licensing, running of olive presses

AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat issued a number of amended rules regarding the licensing and running of olive presses, in accordance with Article 16 of the Agriculture Law of 2015, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Under the article, the owners of presses have to provide a certificate from the manufacturers proving that the parts of the pressing machines are less than five years old.
If they fail to provide the certificates, they have to provide a written statement from the Olive Presses Association confirming the efficiency of the machines.
