AMMAN — The Jordan Press Foundation’s (JPF) Al Rai and the Jordan Industrial Estate Company (JIEC) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding for media training and exchanging expertise.

JIEC CEO Omar Jwaid highlighted the importance of opening new scopes of cooperation between the two sides, noting that the agreement will contribute to supporting investments in industrial estates.

Jwaid added that the memo aims to improve the quality of information delivered to local and foreign investors by focusing on positive aspects of the Kingdom’s investment environment, which will reflect positively on the national economy.

During the meeting, JPF Chairman Ayman Majali reviewed the developments at the foundation and the quality of news and services it offers.

Majali stressed that Al Rai daily and its website, as well as The Jordan Times will soon play a role in conveying the facilities offered by JIEC to investors.

In the memorandum, the two sides agreed to exchange expertise, hold joint symposiums and prepare studies that serve both sides’ goals and shed light on national industries.

The JPF and the JIEC also agreed to hold training workshops at Al Rai Centre for Media Training to raise awareness about international agreements related to commercial exchange, marketing Jordanian products and methods of launching lobbying campaigns.
