AMMAN — A ceremony marking the official opening of Al Hussein Youth Camps for this year will be held on Sunday.
All preparations have been completed, in cooperation with several institutions and partners, for this year’s camps, which will include 23,000 students, Higher Youth Council President Sami Majali said Saturday.
The camps’ activities seek to develop young Jordanians’ physical and leadership skills.
They include military exercises, vocational and voluntary work, and lectures to raise awareness on several issues.
Al Hussein Camps were established in 1961 under an initiative by His Majesty the late King Hussein.
