AMMAN — The Agriculture Ministry said on Saturday it has completed preparations to celebrate Arbour Day, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The ministry’s spokesperson, Nimer Haddadin, said the ministry has finished preparing several areas around Jordan to plant 1.5 million trees this year.
Haddadin noted that the ministry provides saplings to public institutions through 14 nurseries across the Kingdom. The ministry, through its forestry department, called on civil society institutions, commissions and individuals who are keen on participating in marking the day, celebrated in Jordan in January, to visit the department and obtain saplings.
