Agriculture Ministry bans import of olive oil

AMMAN — The Agriculture Ministry has banned the import of olive oil, Minister Khaled Hneifat said on Sunday.
In a meeting with Olive Presses Association President Imad Fayez, the minister noted that the Kingdom’s produce exceeds the local market’s demand, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fayez commended the move, which he said would protect local producers.
