AMMAN — A memorandum of understanding signed between the Jordanian and Azeri ministries of culture has gone into effect after being approved by the Cabinet.

According to a ministry statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Monday, the agreement aims at bolstering Jordanian-Azeri ties and enhancing dialogue between the two cultures through expertise exchange in the field of cultural policies and strategies.

Under the five-year memo, the two sides will work together to protect non-material cultural heritage, as well as cooperate in implementing relevant UNESCO agreements.
