Adaileh details new measure banning more than one passenger in vehicles

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh on Tuesday night said that the government’s precautionary measure banning more than one passenger in a vehicle permitted for movement in the curfew does not include emergency cases, such as hospitalisation of patients.
Adaileh said that the decision mainly aims at keeping people from misusing vehicle permits, especially as stakeholders detected instances of mass movement of people who do not have permits and other cases where only the driver carries a permit, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister stressed that the decision does not apply to vehicles used for transporting goods and requiring more than one passenger.
