ACC issues 30,647 certificates of origin in 2020

AMMAN — The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in 2020 to export goods totalled JD836 million compared with JD997 million in 2019, ACC announced on Monday.


The ACC issued 30,647 certificates of origin in 2020, compared with 37,365 certificates in 2019, the chamber said in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The ACC noted that a total of 7,808 certificates were issued for shipments exported to Saudi Arabia, followed by the UAE with 4,309, Iraq with 1,426, Egypt with 772 and Switzerland with 42.

The majority of exports last year went to Iraq, which accounted for JD197 million, followed by the UAE with JD129 million, Switzerland with JD125 million, Saudi Arabia with JD68 million, and Egypt with JD51 million.
