AMMAN — Russia has presented 60 university scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic year to Jordanian students who will be heading to Russia in the next few days, according to Russian Cultural Centre Director General Vadim Zaychikov.
During a meeting with the students, Zaychikov noted that this year’s scholarships for BA and MA degrees are in atomic energy and oil programmes, stressing the importance of the two specialisations for Jordan as it develops a peaceful nuclear programme for power generation.
Russia is considering raising the number of university scholarships offered to Jordanian students for the coming year to 100, he added.
Moscow offered 35 scholarships to Jordanian students last year.
