AMMAN — A total of 308 Iraqi nationals left the Kingdom on Thursday from Queen Alia International Airport via two aircraft affiliated with Iraqi Airways.
Spokesperson of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry Ahmed Sahhaf, in a statement distributed by the Iraqi embassy in Amman, said that two “exceptional” flights from Amman were operated to carry the Iraqi nationals to their country.
The embassy expressed appreciation to the Kingdom for evacuating the Iraqi nationals and opening the airspace for them, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The Kingdom had closed all border crossings to passenger traffic on March 17 as a precautionary measure to fight the coronavirus outbreak.
