AMMAN — The Jordan Times distributes on Thursday the 21st issue of Al Qibla newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Great Arab Revolt.
The four-page newspaper dedicates its front page in this issue to publish an editorial by a prominent Islamic historian from Egypt that sheds light on the history of the Arabs and how they played a role in development wherever they went in the region.
It also highlights unity among Arabs and how they managed to overcome differences for the benefit of all Arab nations.
The edition includes several news items related to banning holding weapons when there is no need for them in markets and daily life. It also refers to a Royal Decree issued by Sharif Hussein Bin Ali, the leader of the revolt, to change the titles used when addressing officials, clerics and other notables and use old Arabic titles.
The paper, which stopped printing in 1924, includes in the issue at-a-glance news of other local, regional and international developments.
The distribution of Al Qibla by The Jordan Times and other local dailies is part of celebrations of the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt.
