16 held over drug charges

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have arrested a total of 16 people in various drug-related cases over the past few days, that also saw the seizure of large amounts of narcotics and eight firearms.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the Public Security Department’s (PSD) spokesperson said that seven of the cases took place in Amman and led to the arrest of nine of the 16 culprits, who were in possession of large amounts of illegal drugs and two firearms.
