AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday affirmed the government’s support of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence, which aims to develop institutional performance and entrench a culture of distinction, quality, transparency and creativity, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Razzaz made the remark as he received a report from the deputy chairman of the board of trustees of the centre, on the results of the award evaluation, which was awarded in a ceremony held last month under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah.
He noted that the centre had adopted clear criteria in the evaluation of ministries and government entities and institutions’ performance, stressing the importance of periodic monitoring to ensure that institutional development is an ongoing process, and not just for the purpose of winning the prize.
