‘Majority of Jordanian exports to Iraq in 2017 were exempted from customs’

By JT - Feb 09,2019 - Last updated at Feb 09,2019

AMMAN — A recent study by the Jordan and Amman chambers of industry revealed that in 2017, Jordanian products exempted from customs accounted for JD200 million of the total JD367-million worth of exports to Iraq, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.

The study added that the 344 Jordanian products exempted from Iraqi customs would contribute to cultivating national exports to Iraq.

The chambers added that the results of efforts by the Jordanian and Iraqi governments over the past two years have given priority to Jordanian exports, so they could return to what they once were, once peaking at JD882 million in 2014.
