To strive and be positive

Feb 02,2016 - Last updated at Feb 02,2016

We are used, in Jordan, to read in our newspapers, various articles critisising officials and aspects of what is going on in Jordan, and complaining and writing in a negative way about performances and achievements in many fields of our life.

In this respect, I was very pleased to read what His Majesty King Abdullah said on Sunday, when he met with some of our Jordanian youth: “You boost my morale.”

What a positive way to address our young people, what a nice way to boost their morale as well.

Such a positive attitude should be exemplary, should teach us to learn to be positive and to see the half full glass rather than the empty half.

Taking this opportunity, I wish to thank and congratulate The Jordan Times for their comprehensive coverage during the past two weeks of the Australian Tennis Championship.

I hope this wide and important coverage of the tennis matches and players will entice and encourage our young generation to strive for higher levels of achievement and excellence in the world of tennis, to lift the name of our country.
