New Zealand offering postgraduate scholarships for Jordanians

AMMAN — Makram Qubain, New Zealand’s honorary consul in Jordan, announced on Wednesday that New Zealand is providing four postgraduate scholarships to Jordanians in priority sectors of renewable energy, agriculture and environmental management (water technology).
The project is funded by New Zealand’s Development Post Graduate Scholarships programme, according to a statement sent to The Jordan Times.
Information on the scholarships can be obtained from Education New Zealand, and the following website: http://www.aid.govt.nz/funding-and-contracts/scholarships/eligible-countries/jordan.
Awards are open to candidates from government, civil society and private business organisations.
All awardees are required to return to their home country for a minimum period of two years following completion of their scholarship, the statement said.
