AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Monday inaugurated the new premises of the command and control unit at the army headquarters.

The new building features several military, administrative and technical facilities, and is considered one of the most advanced military centres, a Royal Court statement said, adding that the centre is equipped with world-class operational facilities and advanced technologies.

King Abdullah was briefed on the duties that the new army centre is tasked with.

The King also visited one of the joint units of special operations where he attended a training exercise, the Royal Court said.

At the end of the visit, the King applauded the army’s high level of performance.

Upon his arrival at JAF headquarters, the King was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashaal Al Zaben and HRH Prince Feisal.
