Karak town residents agree to curb spending on social occasions

KARAK — Residents of Rakin town in Karak have launched an initiative to control spending at condolences homes and cover basic needs only.

Around 900 residents signed the initiative to encourage people to avoid wasting money and allocate it for those in need.

The signatories called for spreading the initiative across the Kingdom to reduce the cost of such occasions, especially in terms of the money spent on huge quantities of food, most of which goes to waste.
