Judeh, Sijilmassi stress the need to develop union’s activities

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and Union for the Mediterranean Secretary General Fathallah Sijilmassi on Thursday looked into ways to boost the partnership among union member states through developing the activities of its general secretariat.
The two officials reviewed procedures that can be adopted to speed up the pace of the union’s activities and stressed the need to further promote them to achieve the required goals.
Created by 43 Euro-Mediterranean heads of state and governments in Paris in 2008, the Union for the Mediterranean is a multilateral partnership that aims to increase the potential for regional integration and cohesion among Euro-Mediterranean countries.
