Jordan, Turkey discuss Israeli violations in Jerusalem

AMMAN — Jordan and Turkey on Tuesday looked into ways to boost coordination over issues of joint concern, especially with regards to confronting Israeli violations in the holy sites of Jerusalem.
During a meeting with Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Amrallah Eichler, Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood underscored the Turkish government’s strong support of Arab and Islamic causes, also highlighting Jordan’s role in protecting Al Aqsa Mosque and its promotion of the Amman Message.

Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawood on Sunday said Israeli occupation authorities must immediately stop its acts of sabotage, which seek to alter the identity of Bab Al Magharbeh, the largest entrance for non-Muslim visitors to Al Aqsa Mosque compound.
The Israeli occupation is obstructing progress of the Kingdom's 13 maintenance projects at Al Aqsa Mosque complex, according to Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood.
Jordan and Palestine organised a conference in Ankara on Saturday to highlight the importance of Jerusalem and the Muslim world's role in protecting the holy city from Israeli attempts to Judaise it.
