AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) on Thursday expressed its readiness to present its experience in the field of  monitoring pathogens in fruit and vegetables irrigated by treated wastewater to stakeholders in Tunisia.

Receiving a Tunisian delegation, Mohammad Khreisha, head of the JFDA’s food control directorate, highlighted control procedures and laboratory tests the administration carries out to ensure food safety and quality.

The visit was organised by the project to utilise treated wastewater funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Jordan Valley Authority.
